25km from Uralla, the reserve protects rock art made by the Aniwan people 150-500 years ago as well as the moutain itself and its natural environment. A 3km return walk around a beautiful nature reserve passes the rock art and traverses the gorgeous landscape.
Haven for birds and a hide for enthusiasts. Collect a list of local birds from the Visitor Information Centre and head out to either lagoon for peaceful bird watching while adding to your 'twitchers' list!
Beginning and ending in Alma Park, this walk takes 30-45 minutes and features glimpses of the Uralla town centre along its winding way. A diversion to the lookout offers even more amazing views.
Call into the VIC to collect a copy of the map and enjoy this walk along the creek through town, which is a wildlife sanctuary for platypus, native water rats, water dragons and much more.
