The Chaucer on Bridge Street Gallery was originally a general store and a billiard hall built in 1886. It is now owned and run by the Evans family and showcases ceramics by Michael Evans, textile pictures and books by Helen Evans and paintings and calligraphy by the late Dr. David Evans.

There is a range of bead jewellery and Celtic/Saxon jewellery for sale. Michael Evans gives classes in ceramics on Saturday mornings.

It is a friendly place to browse, learn more about the building and look for gifts. Coffee is available to make your visit more enjoyable. The gallery space is also available for exhibitions by other artists.
