An award winning community owned and run museum. Featuring exhibits on the local Aniwan people, Captain Thunderbolt (bushranger Fred Ward), the Rocky River gold rush and the Chinese immigrants involved, and Australia's first world champion Ned Trickett. The ground floor is occupied by a series of nine dramatic paintings by Phillip Pomroy, "The Death of Thunderbolt", while the old chaff shed now displays farming equipment, old fire engines, and even a steam engine.

Sept - May: everyday, 10am - 5pm

June, July, August: everyday 10am - 4pm
