Thunderbolts Festival 2023

The 24th annual community event, Thunderbolts Festival, will be held Saturday 28th October (10:30am-3pm) in the lovely Alma Park, Queen St, Uralla. Theme: Dungeons and Dragons. Entry is free!

 

The event is funded by; Uralla Shire Council, New England Solar ACEN Australia, Phoenix Foundry, Uralla Bowlo and many local businesses & individuals in Uralla.

10:30am Fleet Warbirds Street Parade in Bridge St includes; Oxley Riders, Capt. Thunderbolt, Classic Cars, Hot Rods, Antique Machinery, fire engines, local schools and community groups.

There will be kids’ activities with a $2 wristband gives them access all day to; huge rock climb wall, inflatable giant slide and jumping castles - adult sized and one for little kids.

Street Performers; Straight from the Outback of the Northern Territory, Hemlock’s Danger Show! Plus Helly Hoops roving circus performer and her free circus play space for kids - hula hoops, poi and magical giant bubble show.

Local bands; Chilli Jam, Four Book Trilogy, Ruby Rose Trio and other friends will provide live music entertainment through the day.

Market stalls in Alma Park, NEMAS Medieval Arts display and spontaneous combat, Uralla Central School old fashioned games, face painting, photo booth, hula hoop competition and New England Antique Machinery Display.

The Alternate Root coffee van will be onsite, local schools with BBQ food stalls and Friends of McMaughs their tea, coffee, cakes & sandwiches, plus the Lions Club fresh fairy floss.

 

At 7:30pm the Uralla Arts Lantern Parade will magically weave from the Uralla Showground to Hampden Park. Contact Uralla Arts to get involved!
