Lace Exhibit Opening

The New England Lace Group will be displaying works by a wide range of contemporary lace artists in shop windows along the main street, from Monday the 7th of February right through to Sunday the 13th.

On Saturday the 12th come on down to the official opening of an exhibit at the McCrossin's Mill Museum. The exhibit showcases the history of making lace, and its influence on European society, politics, and the economy for 400 years. There will also be examples of handmade laces on display, with samples from the 16th through to the mid 119th Century, beautifully collated by Uralla's very own Rosemary Shepherd.
