
Uralla Visitor Information Centre
Get the most out of your visit to Uralla by calling into the Uralla Visitor Information Centre. Located in the centre of town a short stroll from Thunderbolt’s Statue, the Centre is open every day except Good Friday and Christmas Day. The friendly staff can provide you with information on local attractions, upcoming events, accommodation and other services. Maps and brochures are available, along with a selection of souvenirs, local produce, and local gold. Gold pans can be hired by those who wish to try their luck at the nearby fossicking reserve.

Rock Hunters’ Rendezvous
On permanent display at the Visitor Information centre is a remarkable collection of minerals and gemstones. Collected over many years by local resident and rock hunter extraordinaire, the late Harry Wooldridge, the exhibit contains many fine examples of local minerals as well as ones from much further afield. Rock Hunters’ Rendezvous is sure to bring delight to all lovers of the world of geology.
