Uralla Lantern Parade

Date: Saturday, 24 March 2018
Time: Parade starts at 7.30pm
Venue: Departs Uralla Showground, King Street, arrives at Hampden Park, Hill Street, Uralla

Join schoolchildren, parents and community members from around Uralla Shire in the annual Uralla Lantern Parade, held each March to coincide with Earth Hour. The parade moves from the Uralla Showground at approx 7.30pm (or when dark enough), travels down King Street over the railway bridge, turns left into Maitland Street, left into Hill Street and on to Hampden Park for a bush dance finale.

The sight of a lantern parade coming down the street is a memorable one. Enjoy the parade from the footpaths and after it has passed, follow it down to the finale at Hampden Park.

The parade is held in conjunction with Seasons of New England. A lantern decorating tent will operate at Seasons of New England from 9.00am. Lantern muster for parade participants at the Uralla Showground from 7.00pm.

Come and feel the magic!
