Thunderbolts Festival Saturday 24th October 2009 held in conjunction with Harleys for Helicopters Turkey Run from Newcastle arriving at Uralla Friday 23rd October.
As a lead in to the Festival will be the inaugural Top Pub Miss Woodstock competition; a personality quest for 18-25 year old ladies who live in the Uralla Shire.
Ist Prize - $500 spending money by Woodstock Bourbon and 2 nights in a unit at Yamba - available by Elders Yamba (three bedroom unit 1 min walk to Pippie Beach, for a Friday and Saturday night)
Runner up & Peoples Choice - $100 spending money by Woodstock Bourbon & vouchers to the value of $50 from Angelic Beauty Therapy and Solo Hair Design

The Uralla Bowling Club Bush Poets Breakfast will kick off Thunderbolts Festival from 7am to 10am, featuring Paddy Ryan. Fully cooked hot breakfast for $7 with all proceeds being donated to Harleys for Helicopters
Jobs Australia Street Parade at 11am which weaves its way to Alma Park, our theme for 2009 is "Water for Life" which links in with national Waterwise week held at the same time. Entrants in the street parade include; Jobs Australia float, Hot Rod cars (with Member for New England Richard Torbay who will officially open the Festival), local Schools, Harleys for Helicopters, Hemlock whip-cracking stilt walkers, Fire Engines, Classic Cars & community groups.

• Uralla Sports & Toys Hula Hoop competition to celebrate 50 years of the Hula Hoop in Australia

Phoenix Foundry Billycart Derby in King Street at 3pm coordinated by New England Rods & Customs Inc. with trophies & prizes.

And this year we are holding fireworks at 8pm near Thunderbolt Inn.
Harleys for Helicopters host a poker run through the day and the Show & Shine competition which will be held in Hill Street near Thunderbolt Inn. There will be bands through the afternoon, trophy presentations and the winner of the Top Pub Miss Woodstock will be crowned. Bands will play into the night, with all proceeds going to Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
