Uralla Australia Day Celebrations

Date: from 11am on Friday, 26 January 2018
Venue: Alma Park, Queen Street, Uralla

Celebrations commence with a street procession from the corner of Bridge & Salisbury Streets at 11:00am, then proceed to Alma Park for the remainder of activities.The parade will include the Armidale Pipe Band, Fire Brigades, vintage machinery and cars and the Australia Day ambassador, Charlie Brown.The Official Ceremony is at 12 noon in Alma Park and includes Citizenship Ceremony,flag raising,National Anthem, award presentations and address by Uralla's 2018 Ambassador, Fashion Designer Charlie Brown, sponsored by the Australia Day Council of NSW and National Australia Day Council.

Entertainment by Armidale Pipe Band. Competitions include:

  • decorated bike competition with cash prizes for best bike decorated by a boy and
    best bike decorated by a girl
  • thong throwing competition
  • gumboot throwing competition
  • school children's poster competition.
  • Static displays by Uralla Fire Brigade and S.E.S.

Other activities include jumping castle, lolly scramble and face painting. tea, coffee, damper, drinks, BBQ, cakes and slices all available.
